How To Join
NEW MEMBERS
Click Here to download the NASMM membership application.
Please take some time to review all the information contained on the application. It will answer many of your questions. Also, please remember: the organization is the NASMM member, not the individual.
Once downloaded, please print the application and complete in its entirety. Please note that NASMM offers two (2) classifications of membership: Provisional and General.
PROVISIONAL MEMBERSHIP
A Provisional member can apply for NASMM membership with a completed application and the initial dues payment for one year.
The provisional member has one year to obtain the requisite two letters of recommendation, brochure, and Certificate of (liability) Insurance, though we encourage all Provisional members to try to complete the process as soon as possible. You won’t want to wait to be featured on the Find A Senior Move Manager part of the www.nasmm.org website, and only General members enjoy this important benefit.
When the Provisional member submits all three required documents, the applying organization is promoted to full General member status in NASMM at that time.
Note: NASMM waives the required two letters of recommendation for all CRTS graduates who have attended the www.moveseniors.com Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist (CRTS) training.
NASMM offers a Liability Insurance Program for those Provisional members seeking general liability insurance for their senior move management organizations, but are unable or choose not to secure their insurance with a local provider. You are absolutely not required to purchase your senior move manager liability insurance from the NASMM provider. NASMM simply offers this option to Provisional members who are seeking insurance. In short, it’s a benefit of NASMM membership. Many NASMM members have secured their insurance from the NASMM provider largely because the company understands the nuances of this unique industry.
Upon receipt of the Provisional application, the NASMM staff will direct you to the NASMM Insurance Program agent to begin the process of securing insurance. Again, you are welcome to compare quotes and make your own informed decision regarding your liability insurance carrier.
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP
An organization can also apply for General member status in NASMM from the outset. To do so, please send the completed application and payment with the following documents attached (only complete applications will be considered):
Submit two letters of recommendation regarding Senior Move Management activities. Include names, phone numbers and email for each contact. These documents can be letters from consumers or facilities such as retirement communities.
Certificate of Insurance - Current business liability Certificate of Insurance. Do not send your invoice or premium statement. It must be a Certificate of Insurance (COI).
One copy of your brochure.
Please allow 10-14 days to process your application. You will receive a “welcome” e-mail from the NASMM staff after your Provisional or General member application is reviewed and approved.
We welcome your application to join the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM), the only not-for-profit trade association supporting the important work of over 400 senior move managers in the United States and Canada.
