Credit Card Program

OVERVIEW


NASMM members can get a NO-EQUIPMENT Merchant Account. Normally, accepting credit cards requires a terminal (point of sale equipment) that can cost hundreds of dollars. The NASMM program enables members to accept credit cards and get approval by simply using their phone, using "DIALPAY".
Dialpay service provides Senior Move Managers the ability to process credit cards without the use of any equipment or software. All the processing is done on any touch tone phone (whether corded or cellular). You dial a toll free number to get the approvals and receive an authorization number right over the phone. At the end of the day, the daily transactions are automatically settled for you, and the cash is normally in your bank account within 24 –48 business hours.
Dialpay service is perfect for small businesses with low volume and where the business owner does not have an actual card to swipe. The system, as well as its Help Desk, is available 24/7. The NASMM Dialpay Program can be used for Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover and can process both charges and refunds.

COST


There are several elements to the cost of accepting credit cards.

  • The commission cost. This is the amount deducted from your bank account for each transaction. The commission rate for NASMM members is 2.59% plus a $.30 transaction approval charge.

  • Monthly Statement Fee. There is a $10 monthly statement fee. This fee is charged whether or not you have processed any credit card charges that month.

  • One time license fee. There is a one time start up fee of $50.


PROCESS TO ENROLL



  • Call Perry Silverberg from Merchant Services at 800-896-6501. Identify yourself as a NASMM member.

  • Perry will prompt you for certain information and will fax back a completed application with instructions.

  • Fax the following back to Underwriting at 888-281-9897.


    • the completed application

    • a copy of a voided check

    • a copy of your business license

    • a copy of marketing material (such as a brochure) with your company name, address and phone number

    • three months of bank statements.


  • Upon approval from Underwriting, Perry will call you and review the process for accepting credit cards. The $50 licensing fee will then be charged as a direct debit to your account.

  • The entire process should be completed within 1 week.


Note: The 2.59% commission rate assumes that the card is “qualified.” Cards may be “non-qualified” if the name or address you supply to Dialpay is inconsistent with the billing name and address on the account. “Non-qualified” cards are charged a higher commission rate – 3.64%. It is incumbent on you to collect the required information from the card owner.
